I try to spend little time on Facebook. There is a lot of people who complain about everything. I do enjoy it, because it gives me the opportunity to connect with people I don’t see often enough. Case and point, a friend of mine who I used to work with. I used to manage a music store (my first job out of college). The team there was better than any other I’ve worked with anywhere.
While combing my feed last week, I happened upon a conversation from Mandy. It was pointed, honest, and something I wanted to discuss too. I jumped in and hijacked the post..literally. The thought and question she posted was perfect, “I remember back when people who wanted something fought tooth and nail and tried as hard as they could to get it or hold onto it. Whatever happened to that?”
Over the course of the conversation, I determined there was a theme and thoughts that were similar throughout:
- Excess
- Entitlement
- Enlightenment
- Price of passion
How do you think these things have impacted the world around us? As a society, we have changed. More times than not, I’m not sure it’s always for the better. What do you think? What areas do you see excess, entitlement, enlightenment, and price of passion helping or hurting us?
I read an article earlier today talking about the same themes about traits that successful people possess – read it for yourself! http://ow.ly/bRj3I
Ben,
Thanks as always for reading the new post. I love when one thing comes up that relates to another!
